Programmes

At Toongabbie Children’s Early Learning Centre, our programs are clearly linked to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and support the vital messages of Belonging, Being and Becoming.

Our daily curriculum is child focused and directed by our children, families, the community and educators with the main objective to enhance and extend upon children’s learning at every opportunity.

By viewing children as active participants and decision makers and families as the children’s first and most influential teachers helps to ensure the cycle of documenting, planning and evaluating children’s learning is clear and concise.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Michelle and I am the Happy Feet Fitness instructor at Toongabbie Children’s Early Learning Centre. Happy feet is a wonderful educational interactive program. Our classes are full of fun, Imaginative play, Learning, Physical movement and Magic. There is so much to do and learn in Happy Feet.

Happy Feet Classes will be running weekly from Thursday 24th May at 11:15am, we will have two trial weeks and will officially start enrolled children only from Thursday the 7th of June.

I am a mum of two very active boys. I started dancing at the age of 5 in a range of different styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Lyrical. Dance and fitness has always been a great passion of mine, I have completed a Certificate in performing arts with Brent Street Studios and I am also a qualified ballet teacher. I also enjoy yoga, walking and anything that involves being active. Happy Feet Fitness is an amazing company to work with as they have such an amazing program for the children to enjoy, learn and keep fit.

If you would like to enrol your child into Happy Feet classes please either pick up an enrolment form from your child’s teacher or complete the online form below;

When you have enrolled your child I will send you a link to complete Ezi debit payments. These payments are made once month in advanced and automatically debited on the 1st of each month.

Looking forward to speaking with you and teaching your children. They all did an amazing job in class today and was truly a beautiful class to teach.

Our centres have a wide variety of strategies and methods to gather information such as questionnaires, weekend sheets and book, email communication and daily conversations to learn about children’s and family’s interests. This information is the first   vital step to learn about the children and assists us to create a program that builds upon their learning.

We have found that by consistently giving children choices we are allowing them to drive the curriculum and take control over their own learning.

The staff at our centres highly value the thoughts and ideas of our families in regard to our curriculum and are always encouraging families to be active participants in their child’s learning by providing us with ideas, possible learning topics and bringing resources from home to the setting as well as providing us feedback both verbally and written about our curriculum.

From the moment a family enrols and throughout their time at the centre, we constantly provide parents with information about the program and our documentation policies and procedures. We do this on a daily basis through our daybook and curriculum plans as well as within our portfolios, which are sent home officially to families twice throughout the year or at any time they wish to access this information.

As Educators we aim to see each opportunity as a possible learning experience for the children and incorporate learning into everyday routines such as our learning day board, hand washing, eating and toilet training.

We are constantly evaluating and reflecting upon the children’s learning through observations, our daybook, learning stories and our weekly curriculum evaluation and reflection sheets.
